Callan and Anna’s road to their wedding day saw a few twists and turns. Originally scheduled for 2020, Covid restrictions saw them having to postpone until late March. Then only a few weeks before they were due to tie the know, their Byron Hinterland venue pulled out on them leaving them scrambling to get everything organised.
With both of them sharing a love of the ocean switching to a beach ceremony seemed like a natural decision. Lennox Weddings stepped in to handle the logistics and help bring their vision to life.
“I think having the beach wedding was the perfect setting as we are always at the beach with our family, friends or dog. We got engaged on the beach and we love the outdoors.”
The wedding ceremony was conducted by Anna’s Aunt who is a fully licensed wedding celebrant. She only marries members of the family and provided a beautiful and personal ceremony, full of laughs.
After the ceremony, the bridal party all piled into the epic Yellow School Bus, from Bush to Bay Tours, and we headed to the nearby location of Boulder’s Beach to shoot some photos. The wedding reception took place at Tintenbar Hall. They styled the hinterland venue using a mixture of vintage op-shop, Etsy and marketplace find, creating a beautiful space for their guests to enjoy a banquet prepared by Gateway Fine Foods.
Anna is a keen and accomplished photographer herself, so it was a real honour to be chosen to be their wedding photographer and I was even more stoked when I saw this awesome google review come through.
“Ben was so easy to work with as our wedding photographer and captured our day in an authentic way. We received heaps of photos and so many great moments of us and our guests, and he met the agreed turnaround time for getting them to us. We even got a small selection of photos two days after our wedding. He received many compliments too from our guests about how easy going he was. Really really stoked with everything about him!”
