Sim and Ali – Byron Hinterland Wedding
Sim and Ali assembled an all star cast of vendors for their Byron hinterland wedding. With Lou, from Get Hitched in the Hinterland co-coordinating and styling they transformed a private property into a fantastic wedding venue that infused a tropical boho theme.
I started the day off meeting the boys for a kick around on the beach in Byron before heading off to photograph the girls as they got ready. For this wedding, I had Sarah, from Bye Bye Blackbird working alongside me as my second shooter (she was great!) The ceremony and reception all took place on a family members private property in Eltham, NSW. What a stunning venue! The ceremony took place on the front lawn surrounded by lush tropical gardens, as Sim and Ali exchanged beautiful, intimate vows. We then took a little detour to visit the old train lines and shoot some images before returning to share a drink as the sunset behind their tipi marquee.
Dinner was served under festoon lights as the guests gathered around an incredible long banquet table that snaked its way up the drive. The catering was out of this world, and following diner and speeches everyone returned to the tipi where live music played out from the band and everyone danced the night away under the gaze of September’s full moon.
